This Privacy Policy applies to the File Seeker mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"), created by Yaroslav Nesterov as an Open Source software.

1. Local Data Processing and Storage

The Application functions strictly as a local utility on your device.

• Search Queries and Results: Any search queries you enter, along with file indexes and search results, are processed entirely on-device and stored locally in the Application’s private system storage (app-specific internal database).
• No Data Collection: This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to external servers, and is not accessible to the developer or any third parties.

2. Network Activity & Third-Party Services

The Application has no backend services and does not collect, track, or share any personal data, usage metrics, or device identifiers.

• The Application utilizes the Google Play Core SDK solely to check for available app updates via the official Google Play Store (In-App Updates).
• Any automated system communication during update checks is directly handled by Google Play Services and governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

3. Data Retention and Security

Since all search history, indexes, and app data remain stored within your device's private app directory, data retention is managed directly by you. Uninstalling the Application or clearing its app data will permanently remove all locally stored databases and search indexes.

4. Open Source Transparency

File Seeker is Open Source software. Users and security researchers are free to inspect the source code to verify that no network requests, tracking code, or remote data transmissions are present.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated periodically. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
